Dr. Frederick McAdam is the co-founder of Buffalo Spine and Sports Institute (BSSI).
Since establishing BSSI, Dr. McAdam has become a recognized expert in spine and sports diagnoses and the treatment of those conditions, particularly in the field of functional exercise, spine loading and stabilization.
Dr. McAdam enjoys a wide range of activities outside of BSSI, from community work to sports. He is also a dedicated supporter of WNY theater and arts. Click here for more information on Dr. McAdam.

Dr. Kaplan came to Buffalo with substantial clinical experience. Prior to his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency he worked as a general practitioner for the United Sates Army and served in Germany as well as in Bosnia as a Battalion Surgeon.
Dr. Kaplan is now in his eigth year as a full partner with BSSI. His clinical practice is as varied as are his clinical interests. Dr. Kaplan is one of few physicians in Western New York who treats refractory painful conditions such as chronic daily headaches, cervical dystonia and neurological spasticity with Botulinum Toxin Injections. Dr. Bergfeld began her BSSI career in 2005 as a Fellow, following the completion of her residency at The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Being a WNY native. Dr. Bergfeld was pleased to become a permanent member of the BSSI staff at the conclusion of her Fellowship training in 2006.
Today, Dr. Bergfeld has advanced her career to the position of practice partner and has recently created a program of womens' health and rehabilitation treatment services that is benefitting female patients of all ages. Click here for more information on Dr. Bergfeld.

Dr. Kaufman is following in the footsteps of both Dr. Kaplan and Dr. Bergfeld in joining Buffalo Spine and Sports (BSSI) upon the completion of her Fellowship Program in 2008.
